Welcome to Woodrow  Pony Stud.

Woodrow Stud is located in Taihape in the central North Island.  We farm 500 acres of sheep, beef and deer and of course the ponies.

The stud was formed in 1999 and started breeding Sec A welsh ponies.   We have now moved more into Riding Ponies and stand a beautiful, extremely well conformed Riding Pony Stallion, Monstevos Just Flag It.  Justin crossed with Welsh and Riding Pony mares will produce a nice all round pony with the temperament for children to ride and handle and the presence and movement for the show ring. 

Merivale Park State Fair was purchased from Australia in June 2010 as a weanling and we look forward to the time when he will start covering mares to produce outstanding large ponies/galloways.

Woodrow Ponies are named after aircraft as that is another interest within the family.  Ponies are now being branded with the symbol of an aeroplane.  We consider this rather unique, so Woodrow ponies should be identifiable!!
