12 October -
Oh dear, yet another huge lapse in time since the last update! Very busy times on the farm and with the ponies.
First of all I would like to give a big congratulations to Iirangi Filigre on her Champion Novice small pony at Pakuku Show. This was her first ridden show with her new owners and she is looking fabulous!

The breeding front is off to a great start with Amberleigh Regal Radience foaling a lovely bay colt and Klondike Opal a very daintly smokey black filly. This filly looks black but will of course carry a cream gene from her perlino dam.
We already have 2 mares confirmed in foal. Southwind Satin Bows is in foal to Monstevos Just Flag It and I am very excited to have Southwind Summer Escapade in foal to Merivale Park State Fair. These two mares are due nice and early in the next season.
I have been trained to do my own collections at home so semen will now be available for shipping from both stallions.
26 May -
I would like to give a warm welcome to the newest addition to our family. Showtym Nutmeg has joined us from up north. OK, not quite a show pony, but we are very excited about the future for Jessica and Meg in the jumping arenas!

And Pixie not to be be outdone, has shown us how she too would like to have a crack at this jumping caper and we look forward to having some outings in the Show Hunter ring this season. This very versatile pony never ceases to amaze!

Woodrow Foxtrot has been sold and leaves for her new home shortly. We wish them all the best.
4 April -
Gosh, how slack have I been at updating the site! Last news was the foals have landed safely on the ground, this update is that the weaning has gone well! The three girls are all growing well and have coped with the weaning process and the halter training.
Chelton Light Secret has been going superbly. What a wee star this pretty filly is going to be. Jessica has had a reasonably quiet season with her attending pony club and a couple of low key shows. We were very fortunate that Ashleigh McIntyre rode Pixie at the Taihape A&P show and came home with Champion Novice pony. Not bad for a first 'real' show! Her next big outing was HOY where Ashleigh again took the ride. Pixie did an outstanding workout and gained 6th place in the Small Debutante Pony of the Year. We are thrilled with this placing as at only 3 years of age and limited outings Pixie tries her little heart out.

Woodrow Memphis Belle has been sold and is heading down south. We wish her new owners all the best with this delightful mare. She will be missed greatly around here.
Woodrow Delta and Woodrow Dakota are also maturing nicely and I will soon start putting Southwind Satin Bows under saddle as soon as I have finished the weaning process with the younger girls.
30 October -
The 3 foals for the season are all safely on the ground. 3 fillies!! Well done girls :) Details on the foals page.
12 September -
First show for the season at Pukahu went very well with Southwind Satin Bows performing admirably for her first outing since a foal. 2nd Turnout. 1st 2&3 yr colt, filly or gelding, 1st Youngstock Movement and Reserve Champion Youngstock. Huge thanks to Brandon East for handling her so professionally for me.

Woodrow Memphis Belle is not too far away from foaling now and its looking like a busy season looming with showing and Stud duties.
9 June -
Very exciting news today from the stud!! Merivale Park State Fair has been purchased and arrived today from Merivale Park Stud in Australia. Many thanks go to Judy Ivory for this fabulous colt. 'Tate' is by the outstanding Myscal Encore out of the beautiful Willowcroft Winter. Winter is also the dam of some extremely well performed ponies in Australia, including MP Steal the Show -Supreme Led Exhibit Towoomba Royal as a Yearling. MP Town Fair - Twice Supreme Riding Pony Exhibit at the Melbourne Summer Royal and Willowcroft Regal Winter - one of Australia's top performing Galloways and the current National and Grand National Small Galloway of the Year.
Tate will mature up to 14.2hh and brings to NZ proven successful bloodlines with the added bonus of height for those breeders wishing to produce large riding ponies of the highest calibre. He will stand at public stud in the future.
2 March -
A quick update of the site, but will endevour to get some new pics of the foals and youngstock as soon as possible!
10 December -
Amberleigh Regal Radience foaled a very delicate chestnut wee filly last night. Not too sure where all the white found its way from though!! Absolutly thrilled with the sucessful outcome after the troubles last year.
7 November -
Opal foaled a gorgeous colt last night. Lovely buckskin with a fantastic front and lovely straight legs!
6 November -
A big congratulations to Iorangi Filigre (Monstevos Just Flag It/Koroway Silk and Silver) for her Reserve Champion Youngstock at Wairarapa A&P Show.
Iorangi Filigre
Also a huge congrats to Woodrow Chrislea (Monstevos Just Flag It/Punga Bracken) for her Champion Partbred Youngstock and Supreme Champion Welsh and also Supreme Champion Golden Horse at the Waikato World Show.
Well done to their owners and not a bad start for he the first two ponies by Justin to hit the show ring!
2 November -
Woodrow Concord left for his new home on the weekend. He off to be a future lead rein/First Ridden pony. I wish his new owner the best of luck with him and can't wait to see him out in the ring!
Also Woodrow Chinook went off to a new home a few weeks ago so that is the last of the geldings gone that I had thought I was going to keep!
Southwind Satin Bows and Chelton Light Secret are both looking great and I hope to get them out to some shows this season.
Opal is hanging on to her bundle and keeping me guessing as to when it is going to show itself. She is due now so hoping the nightly false alarms arn't going to carry on to much longer!
17 October - First foal!!
Southwind Summer Escapade foaled a lovely chestnut filly last night. All well and will put up photos on the foal page in the next few days.
14 September -
A very unfortunate start to the breeding season with poor old Bracken giving birth to a stillborn foal only 2 weeks before her due date. Not sure what went wrong there but the lovely wee Palomino filly was just not to be.
On a lighter note, I have made 'just one more' purchase and Chelton Light Secret has come to join us from Chelton Stud in Darfeild. Many thanks to Shelly for allowing me to own this stunning black 2 yr old filly by Kirkwood Blacklight out of the beautiful Miltondale Sonnet.
31 August -
Woodrow Harrier has been sold to a lovely home up north. I wish them best of luck with Harry and look forward to following his Showjumping career!
The ponies have all wintered well and now foaling season is just around the corner with Bracken due in only 3-4 weeks time.
10 June -
Woodrow Citabria has now been sold and gone off to a lovely new home.
Jonesy is coming along fabulously and Jessica is even popping him over a few wee jumps. They are having a great time and we hope to get him out to some shows this season.
8 May -
Been a wee while since the last update and a wee bit has been happening.
Woodrow Chrislea went off to her new home and Southwind Satin Bows arrived. Nemo was taken along to the NI Foal Shows as well as Woodrow Concord. Con unfortunatly got a rather bad dose of stage fright and would not co-operate at all despite being pretty good at home! Nemo on the other hand was very good and was placed in all classes at the Pony Breeders show and came home with Champion Non-Welsh at the Welsh show the following day.

We have also got Lee and Bill Porter's Ascot Tom Jones here to be put under saddle. Jonesy is coming along very nicely with Jessica.

2 March -
The foals were weaned a few days ago and all has gone well with the foals responding well to some more handling and one on one time.
Madam and Gigi have both gone off to their new homes and are settling in nicely.
January 20 -
Belle (Woodrow Memphis Belle) has well and truely shown her worth after being brought back into work gently and after only 10 days under saddle, attended her first event. Just a low key sports day but she didn't batter an eyelid with Jessica and great fun had by all.

January 2 -
My precious Corky (Woodrow Corsair), was tragically lost in a paddock accident yesterday. Not a fantastic start to the new year and I am devestated.
December 28 -
Well here is the latest addition to Woodrow Stud. Southwind Satin Bows will join us here once she is weaned. What a lovely filly and I can't wait to get her out inhand, under saddle and then join the broodmares.
Sire: Langtree Just So (Fairley Temptation x Kelvin Grove Joanne)
Dam: Southwind Silk Ribbons (Greenlee Downtown x Southwind Summer Flirt)

December 27 -
Well Christmas is over for another year, I hope you all had a good one! Our lovely Maddie went off to her new home on the 23rd. Just in time to make two girls have a realy lovely Christmas. A few tears shed by us here, especially from Jessica, but Maddie is going to be thoroughly spoilt and we wish them all the best with her.
Gypsy also went to her new home on the 24th. We look forward to seeing Gypsy out and about in the show ring in the years to come.
Also I 'may' just have bought myself a new Christmas present too! A simply devine wee filly to join my group when she is weaned. Details will follow!! :)
December 2 -
Catalina has been sold today and gone off to her new home at Sovereign Stud in Whakatane.
November 22 -
Well a wee bit has been happening over the last couple of weeks. Alanda Call me Madam has been sold and leaves for her home in Halcombe on weaning of her foal. Woodrow Gypsy Moth has been sold and goes at Xmas time to be a future show Lead-rein pony. Hillbilly Maddison has also been sold and in a month or so is off to be pampered by a couple of very excited girls.
I have been fotunate to purchase Klondike Opal off Lee and Bill Porter. Opal is a Perlino Sec B Welsh and although not normally a huge fan of the double dilutes, this mare is just lovely and has produced some fabulous foals. So I am hoping for more of the same by Justin.
I took a few snapshots of W.Concord and W.Citabria today. Con has just started losing his coat so not at his finest, but still looking very smart.

Woodrow Ambassador (Ascot Silverman x Punga Bracken) competed at the Christchurch Royal Show with his wee rider Jack Wilson. Congrats to Jack and team for their great effort at this show. They looked great and had great results.
October 18 -
He's arrived!! Belle foaled a lovely wee colt in the early hours of this morning. Updated the foals page!
October 17 -
Just an update on whats going on at the Stud. The three foals on the ground are thriving. Belle is due any moment now. She has kept me guessing for about 2 weeks, thinking maybe tonight???
Bracken has gone off to visit Sketty Park Teilo, a lovely imported Sec A Welsh, that is also the sire of Woodrow Fletcher.
Paddy (Southwind Summer Escapade), has been served by Justin. Madam and Gigi are nearly ready to also return to Justin.
Chinook has been gelded.
So busy alround really. I haven't got much showing planned for early in the season, but will see how we get on for December shows.
Woodrow Harrier
My once off non-pony breeding attempt is maturing very nicely. He has an extremely laid back nature and takes all new things in his stride.
